Live Q&A with Speakers What It Is Community association board members and volunteer leaders step up to take on positions of service and responsibility. They're expected to anticipate issues, solve problems, meet the expectations of their residents, and protect property values. This workshop will teach you how to become a more successful board member, and how you can recruit and support new volunteers. You'll learn the role of the board, the president, and other leadership positions; and you'll identify effective ways to work with professional managers and service providers.
What You'll Get
Attendees should register for the pre-recorded webinar through CAI National and complete it any time before November 3, 2022. On November 3, our panel of SEVA-CAI speakers will be available for a 1 hour and 15 minute Q&A session via Zoom. This live meeting will serve as an opportunity for attendees to ask questions about the material and get feed back from experts who are local, and familiar with Virginia specific legislation. Community leaders who complete the Board Leadership Development webinar have the option of earning the CAI Board Leadership Certificate. To complete the certificate requirements, attendees must read and understand the following documents: 1) Model Code of Ethics for Community Association Board Members Community leaders who complete the requirements will receive a certificate of completion and recognition on the CAI website. SEVA-CAI is providing this webinar to educate the attendees on the topic of the webinar. The Speakers today are sharing their research and professional viewpoints to viewers of this webinar by way of discussion. Neither SEVA-CAI nor any speaker is providing advice to any specific community. The specific needs of your community must be reviewed with professionals the Association’s Board of Directors has retained to provide expert opinions or advice. |
